Did you know that ?

Components of deposits

Our Mount Wright and Fire Lake deposits are high in specularity and low in magnetite, alumina and titanium.

Alternating Quartz

The alternation of ore bands with quartz facilitates concentration through a gravimetric system located in our concentrator.

Complexity of folding

A great particularity of these deposits is the complexity of the foldings which result in large and easily exploitable bands of ore due to their proximity to the surface.

Operational flexibility

The spatial extent of Mont-Wright, one of the largest open-pit mines, allows operational flexibility that facilitates the mixing of ore to achieve the quality of concentrate sought by our customers.

Major assets

The presence of iron strips of varying ages and compositions, auxiliary deposits and the possibility of operating several pits at the same time are all major assets of this deposit of exceptional size.
